Law Firm Website Photos: What’s the Point?

Almost all law firm websites have photos and images posted throughout. And if they don’t, they could be seen as boring. Whether they’re photos of the attorneys at the firm, views of the office or employees in their workspace or general images relating to the central legal focus, they play a role in the effectiveness of the firm’s general message.

Attorney Profile Pictures

Lawyers’ pictures always convey a specific message. Criminal law attorneys, for example, usually pose looking stern. They might cross their arms and may not even smile. By doing this, they’re portraying the idea that they are an aggressive legal team that will fight for their clients as hard as they can until the end of a case.

If a lawyer is, for example, a family law attorney, he or she would most likely want to take a more inviting photo where he/she is smiling and looking warm and inviting.

As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” It’s beneficial for attorneys to take the time and determine what the best message is to convey to their potential clients.

Other Images

Any other photos or images used on a law firm website should be chosen carefully. Like all businesses’ websites, all images must first catch a person’s attention. They also need to have a meaning and convey an important message.  Picking random images to fill space on a legal web page isn’t the best move. Make sure every ounce of space on your site is used wisely and everything you display is eye-catching.
