It’s no secret that lawyers have a tendency to sometimes get on their clients nerves – and in some cases even vice versa!
Lawyers Should Avoid:
- Not returning clients’ phone calls and/or emails
- Overcharging their clients or charging them when it’s unnecessary
- Missing meetings
- Keeping clients out of the loop regarding what’s going on with their legal situation
- Not making important deadlines

To avoid potential negativity within a client-lawyer relationship, lawyers should explain how much time they can and will dedicate to that client’s case and thoroughly explain what the client should expect throughout the process in regard to the lawyer’s dedication. That way, clients and their lawyers can pursue the case limited uncertainties and misunderstanding.
