Oregon Legal Marketing

Oregon became the Union’s 33rd state on Feb. 14, 1859. It is one of the 10 largest states, but the federal government owns more than 50 percent of it, including Crater Lake, whose 1,943-foot maximum depth makes it the deepest lake in the U.S. Only three U.S. cities have an extinct volcano within city limits, and two are in Oregon. They are Bend, home to Pilot Butte, and Portland, host to Mount Tabor.

Portland is also Oregon’s largest city, with about 537,081 residents, and home to tiny Mill Ends Park, a 2-foot wide circle of green that is the smallest park in the world. The state’s total population is about 3,826,000, and its capital, Salem, has around 152,200 inhabitants.
