Georgia Legal Marketing

Georgia was the 13th American colony, founded by James Oglethorpe on February 12, 1733. It became the fourth state admitted to the Union on January 2, 1788. The largest Union prison camp in the Confederacy was at Andersonville, Georgia. Today, this tiny town of less than 400 people is the site of the National Prisoner of War Museum.

The Peach State’s more than 9,829,000 residents make it one of the most populous states in the nation. Atlanta has been its capital since 1868 and is also the state’s largest city, with a population greater than 486,400. The Atlanta metro area is also one of the fastest growing areas in the United States.
